Chalk talk about symbols in the book. put on white board and then class discussed them.
Cont. terms: Tools; flamethrowers and kerosene. Challenges; mechanical Hound. Helpers; Faver, Granger and other camp followers.9-16-11
Format of test: Fill in blank/super short answers (factual) Short essays (3/5).
Discussed elements of the hero’s journey template. Broke into groups to see if Fahrenheit 451 fit into the template.
Call to action: Montag’s realizing he doesn’t like his life. Asks wife where they met. pg. 42. Talking to Clarisse, pg. 21 and 22.
