Are people of Ember suppose to be smarter than average? is that a quality of a utopia and how everything is more advanced? Society has both smarter and less smarter people whether they are utopian society or not.
It say’s they will have to go down strem to get out of the city, wouldnit they want to go up stream or even up toward the surface? Instructions, boats, direction show they go down rather than up.
Why do Lina and Doon think its going to be easy for their families to find the way out when it took them sometime to figure it out themselves? Doon did not write everything down.
